President - Arief Gunawan
Arief is currently taking a break from his haematology specialisation training in London to do a PhD research in immunity and cancer. His interest in health management and innovation started after he completed his MSc in Public Health. Though he has spent half of his life away from Indonesia, Arief always looks for ways to collaborate and advance health research and technology in his beloved home country.
Vice President - Satria Arief Prabowo
Satria completed his medical studies in Universitas Airlangga Surabaya at 21 years of age. Satria was awarded the opportunity to be enrolled into a PhD program in the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK. His love and dedication to infectious diseases drove Satria to study a new vaccine in tuberculosis which remains as a major health problem in Indonesia. His research is part of a consortium that includes 20 countries with a total funding of 25 Million Euros.
Satria has travelled the world for his research purposes to present his work in international conferences, attend research collaboration meeting, and build relationship with other researchers. Those have expanded Satria's horizon, especially in the variety of values, communities, and cultures that influence healthcare development and the success of research in different countries.
Secretary - Makhyan Jibril Al Farabi
Makhyan is a Medical Doctor who is passionate in Entrepreneurial and Competitive activities. Prior to graduating from Medical Faculty in the Brawijaya University, he took the role as Head of Research and Development for a social enterprise project called the Garbage Clinical Insurance, a project awarded by HRH Prince of Wales in the UK that broadened primary medical service access for poor people by making them pay insurance fees with garbage. Makhyan's passion for health related innovation has given him the opportunity to pursue Msc Entrepreneurship in University College London. For several occasions, he enjoys to serve as a medical doctor to provide cure, care and comfort toward people.
Treasurer - Lilis Iskandar
Lilis is a PhD Candidate at Centre for Oral, Clinical & Translational Sciences at the Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences, King's College London. Her research focuses on bone tissue engineering for oral and maxilofacial surgery. Her study is sponsored by Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP). She graduated as a dentist from Universitas Indonesia (UI) in 2014.
She loves oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMS), especially orthognathic/orthofacial surgery. Upon finishing her PhD, she will continue her clinical training to be an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. She currently serves as a council member of NextGen Forum of International Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS).
Through NIF, she would like to support research and innovation translation to bring real impact to the society.
Business coordinator - Oviliani Wijayanti
After graduating from Faculty of Medicine in Universitas Indonesia, Ovi continued her postgraduate education in International Health Management, Imperial College Business School. Prior to this she was active as a doctor, journalist, and medical translator for hospitals' international accreditation. Ovi won the Firman Lubis Award 2013 and was previously an editor in a few health magazines like Media Aesculapius, beranisehat.com, and Koran Kampus FKUI. Presently she is the health coordinator for Indonesian Diaspora Network in the UK and Ireland.
Marketing and external relations coordinator - Rizal Alaydrus
Rizal graduated from Faculty of Medicine, University Hasanuddin, Makassar. He is currently completing MSc in Public Health in Glasgow Caledonian University. Since 2012, Rizal has been active in television as a presenter and health correspondent, including a main host in Healthy Life program TransTV and a co-host in Dr OZ TransTV. Rizal is still active in giving seminars on 'Healthy Lifestyle' in various companies, both private and public universities, and health vocational schools since 2013. He received Sports Nutrition certificate from ISSA in 2012. Apart from active in health industry, Rizal is also the Director of PT. Genta Energy Gorontalo and the Vice-President Director of PT. Genta Energy which is involved in renewable energy, solar cell, LED & Display. He currently manages a few projects with Indonesian national and regional governmental bodies, both as a supplier and main contractor.
Education and Research first coordinator - Zahratu Shabrina
Zara is a PhD student at the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis, University College London (UCL) with expertise in Geographic Information System (GIS) Science and urban analytics. Her research focus is the “sharing cities” and how digital platforms affect overall urban dynamics using various spatial modelling approaches. Zara is involved regularly as Postgraduate Teaching Assistant at UCL and occasionally with The Behavioural Insight Team (BIT) London, providing external consultation and language support for Indonesia based projects on improving public policies through the application of behavioural insights. She graduated with honor from University of Southern California, USA, in 2013 with a Master of Planning degree - focusing on Preservation and Design of Built Environment right after she graduated from Institut Teknologi Bandung, Department of Urban Planning, in 2011. She also has professional experiences working in government and private entities in Carson (California), Jakarta and Singapore.
Education and Research second coordinator - Vani Virdyawan
Vani is a lecturer in Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). He is currently completing his PhD in Imperial College, London, in surgical robotic. He was awarded his bachelor degree in 2010 and MSc in 2011 in Mechanical Engineering from ITB, both with cum laude. From 2011 to 2014, Vani was active in various projects, such as: national electric car development and in planning the Centre for Medical Devices Technological Advancement and Industry in ITB.
Education and Research third coordinator - Patrick Tantra
Patrick is trained in architecture and data analytics. He has worked for architectural practices in the UK and Australia and briefly as a researcher at UCL. A thoughtful and energetic expat of Indonesian origin, Patrick has maintained active engagement with Indonesia by assuming leadership roles for the Indonesian Institute of Architects European Union chapter (IAI-EU), Arsitek Diaspora Indonesia (ADI) and Built Environment Indonesia (BEI). Presently, Patrick dabbles as a senior consultant at a multinational in London, specialising in the application of data science for the built and natural environments.
Legal and Intellectual Property Coordinator - Antonius Alexander Tigor
Antonius received Chevening Award, the prestigious scholarship from Foreign & Commonwealth Office (UK Government) to pursue his LL.M in Computer & Communications Law at The School of Law, Queen Mary University of London. Antonius obtained LL.B from the University of Diponegoro. He was enrolled and admitted into the bachelor program without taking the national compulsory admission test through The National Program for Gifted Students (Penelusuran Minat dan Kemampuan or PMDK), due to the Honor Rolls that he received such as National Olympic participant and outstanding grade and ethic he obtained in Senior High School. Antonius helps Chambers and Partners (London) as a referee to identifies and ranks the most outstanding law firms and lawyers in over 180 jurisdictions throughout the world. Antonius has passed the Indonesia Bar Examination (Peradi). He is also a licensed Intellectual Property Consultant in Ministry of Law and the Human Rights Republic of Indonesia.
Vice Treasurer - Dea Meitry Dilista
After graduating from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore in Bioengineering in 2012, Dea was involved in various researches from skin care to anti-cancer medications for about 5 years. Her life philosophy is to improve public welfare by integrating multi-disciplinary skills. Hence, she is currently taking further education in Master of Psychology at the University College London to contribute in health psychology and education. Apart from that, Dea is also involved in the London branch of a national TV station as a contributor.
Vice Secretary - Ratri Wulandari
Ratri is a Medical Doctor who has interest on Obstetrics and Gynaecology, in particular Gynaecology Oncology. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in the Department of Surgery and Cancer, Imperial College London. Her research is focusing on the Ovarian Cancer Heterogeneity where she is interested in finding a better strategy to improve Ovarian Cancer treatment. Prior to her doctoral study, she undertook an MSc in Reproductive Science and Women’s Health programme at University College London and graduated in 2013 with a Distinction. She obtained her Medical Doctor degree from Universitas Gadjah Mada in 2010, also with a First Class Honour. Her passion in education and research has led her to join as an Academic staff in Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Gadjah Mada.
